Hidden away from Courtney Place is an intimate hole in the wall and nightlife experience. From 3pm until 4am Tuesday to Sunday nights Poquito is researching, twisting, experimenting and recalling cocktails from a world long gone or a scene across the globe.
Our staff provide a unique No Menu Venue experience.
We refuse to limit our guests to a select number of drinks, and prefer instead to talk with everybody about a drink that suits them in the moment.
Every drink made is custom-designed with our guests or recommended from our extensive knowledge of specs, and our gargantuan shelf of house made ingredients only threatens to enrich the experience.
We also have an enduring commitment to providing Wellington’s hospitality staff with a comfortable venue in which to relax, and to that end we keep a solid list of absurd family pricing at all times.

To this end we chat with everybody in order to distil down the range of drinks we know or can
create until we find one that suits anybody in any moment in time.
The easiest way to ascribe this process is by asking our guests to describe a spirit they enjoy and
an emotion they feel. From these two things and nothing else we can create something delicious!
We are eternally searching for more eclectic, curated whisky.
Every whisky in our selection has been purpose selected to showcase a particular style from
across the world; whether from Scotland or Taiwan, the United States or Sweden.
Our knowledgable staff can run impromptu whisky tastings across our range and explain in-depth
the creation process, or focus on one specific dram and its place in the world.
We specialise in privatised masterclasses that involve a veritable orgy of cheese, whisky and
personality. We take the direction from you, and choose whiskies to suit
